I Found My Friends: The Oral History of Nirvana - Nick Soulsby

In my book I Found My Friends: The Oral History of Nirvana by Nick Soulsby describes the creation and life of Nirvana from their earliest days until Kurt Cobain's death in 1994. The book is told by musicians and music producers who performed, worked,or knew Nirvana personally between the years 1987-1994. Readers can get to know more facts about Nirvana that weren't covered by the media and what happened behind stage. The author in this book describes how the band became Nirvana, their rise in fandom, Kurt Cobain's constant battle with drugs, Kurt's wife and daughter, and the death of Kurt Cobain.

This book connects to me because my favorite band is Nirvana and this book gave me a more deeper insight inside the band's private life and how Nirvana was proclaimed in the 90's era. It amazed me to see how Nirvana was just a small little garage band and suddenly they become a big hit sensation. This book reminds me of another book called "D'Aulaires' Book Of Greek Myths " because Nirvana never thought they were greater than anyone even if everyone treated them like leaders just like Artemis was always humble even if she got high acclaim for protecting the forest she never thought she was better than anyone all she wanted to do was protect the forest and the animals. This book reminds of a documentary I watched about Nirvana called "Montage Of Heck" which also showed parts of Kurt Cobain's childhood and his crazy teen antics.

I would recommend this book to any other person who wants to know about Nirvana's life and how they revolutionized the 90's with their music. I would also recommend it because the book doesn't have opinions from just one person about Nirvana the book has more than 200 different people who knew them personally talking about them so you'll get a more deeper insight. This book would connect with people who already know Nirvana and people who want to discover Nirvana. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to remember of all the music and performances of Nirvana and want to see how life was with Nirvana in the 90's
